Here at Hair Mekanix we hope that you are pleased with your purchase, however, if you need to return an item for exchange or any other reason, please see the policy below and please, read the instructions carefully.
It is important to remember that we accept returns on the basis that the goods have been unopened, unused and are in a resalable condition. All packaging including cellophane wrapping and tamper resistant seals must be intact. Some companies products have security seals, these cannot be broken as the product will not be able to be resold or returned to the company. If the item is not wanted we will charge a re-stocking fee as well as the initial postage charges. Your refund will be 80% of the cost of the item/s less the postage and packing cost. In the event that the package was a free shipping item/s we will deduct our cost of the packing and postage as well as the restocking fee.
In the event that goods are being returned because of a fault or damage we will be responsible for return postage costs and costs of replacing goods. However, we maintain the right to request proof of fault or damage and this may include the request of photographic evidence of said fault or damage. We may ask that you wait for a returns bag prior to the dispatch of faulty or damaged goods. Any additional costs occurred in returning faulty or damaged goods, on satisfactory confirmation of such by Hair Mekanix, will be the responsibility of Hair Mekanix.

Please make sure you have your order number to hand and all the relevant information about your purchase and reason for return. Please pack your return with care; if you fail to pack properly and the goods arrive damaged we may not be able to complete your return. Please obtain a receipt for the return postage and also please write your name and order number on the packaging prior to postage. Please allow 7 days for the return.

Attempted Delivery - If Hair Mekanix sends your goods on a signed for service and the postman or courier cannot obtain Proof of Delivery they will leave a card and return the parcel to the nearest depot. Then should the package not be collected within 7 days the parcel will be returned to us. If this situation occurs and customers still want their parcel, we will redeliver only when we have received payment for the cost of re delivery. In the first instance we will attempt to contact you when your order is returned and we will offer a choice of refund minus postage and restocking fee or a new delivery that will also incur additional postage and administration costs. If we do not hear from you we will issue the refund minus postage and restocking fees.
